We started in a storage unit, and now we are here.
Frame-ology began in 2020, in the middle of the COVID shutdowns, when our founder Steve and his good friend Joey started the business out of a storage unit with nothing but a dream and a vision for bringing high-quality, solid wood frames to Southern California at prices nobody else could match. Steve is now owner/operator, and Joey manages Facebook sales.
With traditional retail closed and the world at a standstill, Steve saw an opportunity to build something from the ground up — sourcing solid wood frames and turning a storage unit into the start of something bigger. Sales started small: postings on Facebook Marketplace and word of mouth from happy customers who couldn’t believe the quality they were getting at the price they were paying. As word spread, that storage unit quickly became too small for the demand.

While building a loyal customer base, Steve worked toward securing Frame-ology’s first physical location — all while waiting for a spot to open up at the warehouse we now proudly call home. That patience and persistence paid off, and today Frame-ology has grown from a small storage unit into Southern California’s go-to destination for solid wood frames. From museum-quality French Ornate and Italian Baroque designs to clean California Modern and Dusted Corners plein air styles, we’ve stayed true to the values that got us here: real craftsmanship, real solid wood, and prices nobody else in the region can beat.
